    I don't like the incongruity between the turquoise portal membrane and a magenta tunnel, so this simple mod overhauls the warp tunnel effect when using the large alien portals.     The Scatter Blaster was my weapon of choice during the Atlas Rises era, but in NEXT it feels less useful than it previously was.  I didn't do a direct comparison to see if the actual numbers were changed, but I wanted to make it a more effective weapon without being unbalanced.  This mod reduces the spread of projectiles, slightly increases the number of projectiles per shot, and increases the distance they travel.     A successor to Ian's Blue Ship HUD, this changes the starship panels to one of several colors to choose from, as well as fixing some minor bugs in the vanilla game. Some colors look better in practice than others, due in part to some lighting in the cockpit that is beyond my ability to modify.  I personally still think the blue looks best, but several requests for different colors on the original mod led to the creation of this.     With a new effect for players entering and exiting their ship, I wanted to spruce it up a bit.  Instead of the standard smooth blue warp effect, here's a pixel-y digital deconstruction effect.     Ian's Jetpack

    Since the default jetpack exhaust seemed a little bland, I made it be more like a jet engine exhaust: blue-white at the nozzle, turning to orange at the tip of the flame. Known issues: occasionally when I warp to a new system, the texture will revert to its original.  I'm not sure why this happens, and I'll keep investigating, but all things considered it's not exactly game-breaking.

    Ian's Icon Fixes

    A very small mod to fix a few minor things which bothered me.   Player's freighter icon is now white (like literally all the other player vehicle icons) instead of yellow (which looks too much like the NPC freighter icon for my tastes). Drone loot canisters no longer show the scan icon for Chrysonite.

    Ian's Rain

    This mod is an attempt to make rain more visually convincing.  It reduces the effect of raindrops falling together in clumps.  (It looks a bit better in motion than in the screenshots.)  I also attempted to reduce the effect of the smoke/fog clouds rolling around without eliminating it entirely. UPDATE: The mod appears to work the same in NEXT without any further modifications.  Unless I get reports of any problems, I'm declaring it compatible.

    No Whip Vines in Abandoned Buildings

    I never really thought it was exactly fair to have those whip vines hanging from the ceiling in abandoned buildings since you can't use your multi-tool to destroy them.  This mod removes the tentacles from abandoned buildings.  The whip vines will still appear out in the wild.     Ian's Analysis Visor

    With NEXT came a whole new analysis visor view, and like many others I found things about it to be ugly and annoying. Ian's Analysis Visor has been almost totally reworked and reimagined for NEXT.  I wanted to keep the things that I like about the new visor, and discard anything I didn't.  I think the layout looks better this way, is easier to read, and the visor can now cut through storms and haze when visibility drops.

    Ian's Blue Ship HUD

    This mod is deprecated.  It will no longer be updated in favor of the similarly named Ian's Ship HUD. A very simple mod which takes the vanilla ship control panels, with minimal modifications, and turns them a soothing blue color.  It probably won't work with other mods which alter the textures of the display panels. v1.5 is compatible with NEXT.
