This is the first release of the Planet Color De-nextgenifier AKA Terrain Color Restorer.   WHAT'S A NEXTGEN AND WHY DOES NMS NEED TO BE DE-NEXTGENIFIED? https://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/PhilRA/20090606/84228/Why_quotNextGen_Gamesquot_Went_Gray_Brown_And_Grey.php https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RealIsBrown 'NEXTGEN' is just a contemptuous term describing some visual art styles abusing drab colors such as brown and grey to look more 'realistic'. As of NEXT, all non-lush and non-frozen biome planets now have a strange combination of nothing but brown or grey terrain colors which does not seem to be intentional.…

    Vintage and Default Filter Swap

This is a simple mod that replaces the Default Filter with the Vintage Filter and vice versa. I tend to prefer the Vintage Filter because sometimes... the game has instances of some very garish colors. The original pre-release look of the game also had a vintage after-touch to them. Even worse so, the game doesn't save your preferred filter neither in Photo Mode nor in the game settings. The Default Filter is still accessible by selecting "Vintage" in-game. Does this…

Thicc Fog is a mod that re-introduces a few fixes including one minor visual property that happens to greatly influence the game's aesthetics: heightfog! [Features] Increased the heightfog height level and intensity that can previously only be observed in vanilla during storms and extreme weather around sea level areas! Fixes the issue with extreme weather fog allowing distant objects to still be faintly visible because MaxFog was not set to 1.0 when it was set to that even on clear…

This is a mod that attempts to make rare creature roles of very infrequent distribution more common to make it easier to 100% discover a planet's species without changing the creature selection on a planet overall. Creatures now also spawn from much farther away and always exist at all times of day. Specifically, this mod makes it so that ALL creature roles that spawn less than 20 groups per square kilometer now spawn at 20 groups per square kilometer. Creatures that spawn at greater densities…

This is the first new release of Megaliths for No Man's Sky NEXT! Megaliths is a mod that reintroduces existing assets as immensely-sized objects, picked from a roulette, into the game to further diversify the visuals and distinguishability of existing biomes but without having to alter the biomes themselves. This new release for NEXT qualifies as the newest installment of the mod since Foundation! [HOW IT WORKS] Megaliths attempts to list as many vanilla procedural assets and picks two to…

This mod simply removes the lean on stalagmites found in caves. Because, you know, science - or just aesthetics because we have stalagmites in the outdoors for whatever reason.

Perfectly Procedural Prop Buildings is a mod that re-introduces prop structures, crashed freighters as props, flag posts, and procedural ruins as seen in old pre-release screenshots. The prop structures are the same ones seen here. The freighters included in the mod are the same, procedural ones seen in space, not the static trailer prop seen here. The flag posts are the same ones seen here and currently in the game only as part of vanilla ruins buildings. The procedural ruins are the same ones seen…
