    A project to increase the visual appeal and variety in all biome types. Starting with lush worlds and eventually making multiple variants for all biomes. I hope this mod adds a whole new dimension to your exploration experience.

    I am releasing this mod in its current state to get feedback on its impact on performance. Let me know how your performance was affected, if at all (and your system specs).

    This mod is currently a work-in-progress. I've re-done the two base lush variants and added 3 more for a total of 5, overhauled one of the two desert variants, and made some initial adjustments to radioactive biomes. You will find new and interesting sights in all 3 of those biomes types.

    To tide players over until I get to the frozen biomes, one of the variants has had its lush grass density increased massively. Enjoy your winter wonderlands.




    Mod Features

    - Tall grass has been added to lush worlds, and will be added to all biome types.
    - Extremely dense worlds full of flora and minerals of significantly varying sizes.
    - Dense forests with massive trees, and wide open fields lush with vegetation. Finally, a place for the fauna to roam.

    FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

    Q: Will my home planet/base planets be changed by your mod?

    A: Yes, every planet you have a teleporter on is going to receive an intense makeover the next time you visit it, but the layout of the terrain should not change. Any NEW planets you find may have some new subtle terrain styles applied to them. If you remove the mod, your planets will return to normal.


    Q: Will your mod affect my framerate?

    A: Expect this mod to be a solid test of your hardware's capabilities. In my own testing I've seen increased VRAM usage up to 5GB and increased CPU temps from rendering a couple different variants of grass. If you have a very powerful system you can maintain above 60 FPS in most cases.

    Installation Instructions

    Step 1. Remove the file "DISABLEMODS.txt" found in your "No Man's Sky/GAMEDATA/PCBANKS" folder.

    Step 2. Create a new folder called MODS (in all capital letters) to create the directory: "No Man's Sky/GAMEDATA/PCBANKS/MODS"

    Step 3. Extract the ENHANCED_WORLDS.pak file to your "No Man's Sky/GAMEDATA/PCBANKS/MODS" folder.

    Step 4. Launch the game and try it out!

    Uninstallation Instructions

    Step 1. Delete the file ENHANCED_WORLDS.pak from your "No Man's Sky/GAMEDATA/PCBANKS/MODS" folder.

    Step 2. Done!
